The slopes start on the Sunora’s doorstep. Mount Schlegelkopf is right by the hotel, complete with sun terraces and mountain huts. A stop for refreshments is a must!

Lech Parish Church

Distance: 1.4 kilometres

Late Gothic, simple, and beautiful. This church tower is a part of Lech as much as snow is a part of winter. Drop in when you want to pause for a moment.

The Weiße Ring (“White Ring”)

Distance: 1.5 kilometres

A truly legendary ski circuit: 22 kilometres, five valleys, and a day full of moments to remember. Ideal for anyone who sees skiing as an experience, not just a sport.

The Lange Zug (“Long Run”)

Steep, demanding, unforgettable. This is one of the Arlberg’s best-known descents, and it delivers pure adrenaline from top to bottom.

Hus No. 8

Walking distance: 12 minutes

One of the oldest inns in Lech, first mentioned in documents dating back to 1760 and still run by the Walch family. The kitchen serves Walser cheese soup, several variations on fondue, roast farmhouse duck, and steak cooked on a hot stone as you relax in the inn’s warm, rustic parlours. It was also recently named Vorarlberg’s “Beer Inn of the Year” in 2026.

For those who like tradition with substance and prefer to linger over dinner.

Almhof Schneider

Walking distance: 3 minutes

Two restaurants, one guiding principle: perfection through simplicity. The Wunderkammer embodies the idea of an Austrian trattoria, serving Alpine classics alongside dishes once thought lost. The fine-dining restaurant takes a more contemporary approach, with precision and restraint. In addition, sommelier Josef Neulinger’s wine list ranks among the most highly awarded in Austria.

For diners who appreciate refinement without theatre.

Schneggarei

Walking distance: 6 minutes

In the heart of Lech, right by the slopes, modern Austrian cooking meets what may well be the best wood-fired pizza on Mount Arlberg. The building has won architectural awards, and the kitchen has earned acclaim of its own. In the evening, DJs and live music carry the mood effortlessly from après-ski into dinner.

For those who like things relaxed, stylish, and lively.

Fux

Walking distance: 10 minutes

Euro-Asian fusion with an izakaya influence: sushi, curry, and wagyu, paired with one of Austria’s most remarkable wine lists, especially strong on Burgundy and grower Champagne. The open kitchen turns every course into an experience, and Michelin rightly lists Fux as an Inspectors’ Favourite.

For cosmopolitan palates that want a little Tokyo and a little Vienna.

Kristberg – Salon Lech & Scotch Club

Walking distance: 8 minutes

Completely reimagined in December 2025, Salon Lech serves refined Alpine cuisine, while the legendary Scotch Club is a bar, restaurant, and stage all at once. Look forward to fondue, Alpine classics, and long conversations deep into the night, all shaped by the spirit of the 1960s and 1970s.

For style-conscious night owls and diners with a feel for history.

Alter Goldener Berg

Take the gondola to Oberlech, then walk 3 minutes – or go by ski

This house in Oberlech has stood for more than 500 years. In its lovingly restored parlours, Austrian culinary classics such as Beuschel, Blunz’n Gröstl, and Brat’ in der Rein take centre stage. Fondue has a long tradition here, and the wine list features more than 1,000 labels. The sun terrace offers one of the finest views over the rooftops of Lech.

For those who like to combine a stop on the slopes with dinner.

Der Wolf

Take the Schlegelkopf cable car and the Petersboden lift directly from the Sunora – then stop on the piste

At 1,918 metres above sea level, this mountain restaurant sits right on the Petersboden slope. Designed by Bernardo Bader, it offers the best of regional ingredients, contemporary architecture, and changing art exhibitions. On the menu: Kaspressknödel bread dumplings, lentil stew, curry, and the Wolf beef burger. A carefully shaped sound concept shifts with the time of day.

For skiers who want design, quality, and panoramic views in one stop.

Balmalp

Take the Zugerberg cable car from Zug or the Kriegerhorn lift and ski down

At 2,100 metres above sea level, right beside the mountain station of the Zugerbergbahn cable car, Balmalp offers a large sun terrace with sweeping views, as well as a menu featuring Asian wok dishes, pasta specialities, and the legendary giant mountain-hut pizza. Up here, the sunsets are among the most beautiful on Mount Arlberg.

For anyone keen to pair après-ski with a view and a varied menu.
